Ocala, FL (7/28/14) – All V-8 Thunderstocks participating at Bubba Raceway Park on August 2nd will be required to pass pre-technical inspection. The tech area will be open from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm and all cars must be visually inspected including body, chassis and suspension, brakes and all safety equipment. Rules are posted online and can be found at V-8 Thunderstock Rules.
A new change has also been added for all regular season points races at Bubba Raceway Park for 2014.
All Hobby Stock and V-8 Thunder Stock competitors will now have their 3 lowest season points totals from races dropped from their end of the season points totals. All other points divisions will now have their 1 lowest season race points total dropped from their end of season points total.
Note: Disqualifications do not qualify for a dropped race and will remain a zero on your end of season points.
These changes have been made in order to allow for mechanical or personal situations to have the least possible effect on our season long points races as we determined was in the best interest of all Competitors. We appreciate your support and look to continue to provide the top racing experience in Florida for all our competing race teams and drivers.
These challenge race series each consist of 6 challenge series races paying $1000.00 to win for each race with no entry fee. These races will count for both regular season points and a separate challenge series points competition. Regular season points will be awarded toward your regular season Bubba Raceway point total. Points will also be awarded for the challenge series points and there will be a separate challenge series race points fund. In order to be eligible for the Challenge series points fund, you must compete in ALL scheduled challenge series races for that class. Each challenge race series class will provide prizes and/or cash to the top 10 eligible drivers in points. The total points fund will be a minimum of $5000.00 in prizes and/or cash for each division.
