SECOND NIGHT OF RACING FOR THE WORLD OF OUTLAWS LATE MODELS, WAS ACTION PACKED.FAST TIME WAS QUICKLY SET BY BRANDON SHEPPARD WITH A 13.955 TRIP AROUND THE SPEEDWAY. HEAT RACE WINS WENT TO BRANDON SHEPPARD, SECOND HEAT TO IVEDENT LLOYD JR. AND THE THIRD TO SHANE CLANTON. LAST CHANCE RACE WAS HELD WITH THE FOUR FINALTRANFERS GOING TO TIM MCCREADIE, AUSTIN KIRKPATRICK, BRANDON OVERTON AND RICK BRIGGS.
 
READY TO GO THE 24 CAR FIELD WERE IN POSITION WITH THIER FOUR ABREAST SALUTE TO THE FANS. WAVING TO THE GRANDSTANDS SAYING THANK YOU. ON THE FRONT ROW WERE IVEDENT LLOYD JR AND DARRELL LANIGAN BRINGING THE FIELD TO THE GREEN. LLOYD TOOK THE LEAD AND HELD ON TO LEAD THE FIRST LAP. ON HIS BACK DOOR THE BATTLE FOR SECOND WAS GOING ON BETWEEN TIM FULLER AND DARRELL LANIGAN. LLOYD KEPT THE LEAD UNTIL LAP 7 WHEN FAST TIME QUALFIER BRANDON SHEPPARD CAUGHT UP TO HIM AND MADE HIS PASS OUT OF TURN FOUR. THE BATTLE FOR SECOND WAS HARD CONTESTED WITH LLOYD KEEPING HIS EDGE ON TIM FULLER. ON LAP 10 THE CAUTION WOULD WAVE FOR THE 2013 ROOKIE OF THE YEAR ERIC WELLS AS HE SPUN IN TURN ONE WITH THE LEADERS ON HIS BACK DOOR. ON THE RESTART IT WOULD BE SHEPPARD STILL LEADING A TIGHT FORMATION WITH TIM FULLER AND IVEDENT LLOYD FIGHTING FOR SECOND AND THIRD. SECOND CAUTION OF THE EVENING WOULD COME WHEN SHANE CLANTON TRYING TO PASS LLOYD FOR THIRD WOULD SPIN HIS #25 MACHINE IN TURN ONE. MAKING IT LOOK SO EASY, THE TOP THREE WERE WORKING THIER WAY THROUGH LAP TRAFFIC , UNTILL THE HALFWAY MARK AS THE CAUTION WOULD COME OUT WITH A FLAT TIRE FORE RAYMOND MESSILL. ON THE GREEN QUICKLY LEADING THE WAY SHEPPARD TOOK A COMMANDING LEAD. A THREE ABREAST BATTLE OUT OF TURN FOUR FOR THE FIFTH SPOT WAS HELD BY FRANKIE HECKENNAST, MIKE MARLAR AND TIM MCCREADIE. MCCREADIE WHO TRANSFERED FROM  THE LAST CHANCE RACE, HAD TO START 19TH AT THE START. AS THE CHECKERED FLAG WOULD WAVE FOR THE 50 LAP A MAIN IT WOULD BE ALL BRANDON SHEPPARD FOR THE $10,000.00 FIRST PRIZE. FOLLOWING FOR THE NEXT FOUR POSITIONS WOULD BE LAST NIGHTS WINNER BRADY SMITH, THIRD TO OUR OWN IVEDENT LLOYD JR, FOURTH TO TIM FULLER AND FIFTH WENT TO  DARRELL LANIGAN.
 
UP NEXT WERE THE FLORIDA MINI SPRINTS. HEAT RACE WINS WENT TO ALEX BRIGHT , SECOND HEAT TO GAVIN THOMAS AND THIRD TO DIRK MILLER.  THE DASH FOR WAS WON BY JIM YOUNG. LEADING THE WAY ON THE POINT WAS DASH WINNER JIM YOUNG WITH ALEX BRIGHT ON THE FRONT ROW. YOUNG QUICKLY TOOK THE LEAD OUT OF TURN FOUR ONLY TO SEE THE RED FLAG WAVE FOR A THREE CAR ACCIDENT IN TURN ONE. BOB TONEY , ROBBIE SMITH AND NICHOLAS SNYDER WOULD CLASH. THE YOUNG 16 YEAR OLD SNYDER WOULD END UP ON HIS LID. THIS  WOULD BE THE SECOND NIGHT IN A ROW FOR SMITH HAVING A PROBLEM ON THE FIRST LAP OF A RACE. ALL DRIVERS WOULD BE ABLE TO RESTART THE RACE. SNYDER WOULD GO TOPLESS HAS HE HAD DAMAGE TO HIS #116 SPRINTER. WITH THE GREEN FLAG WAVING ALEX BRIGHT WOULD TAKE A HUGE LEAD ON JIM YOUNG AND BRETT MICHOLSKI. THE RED FLAG WOULD QUICKLY WAVE ON  LAP FOUR , AS JOHN MOSS AND CONNOR BORAH WOULD FLIP TOGETHER AND HIT HARD INTO THE FRONT STRETCH WALL. MOSS WOULD LAND DRIVER SIDE DOWN IN WHAT WAS A NEW CAR FOR 2014. BOTH DRIVERS THANKFULLY WOULD BE OKAY , BUT THIER SPRINTERS WOULD NOT BE. ON THE RESTART IT  WOULD STILL BE ALEX BRIGHT WITH THE LEAD.ONE LAP AROUND AND THE RED WAS OUT AGAIN. THIS TIME ANOTHER HARD IT IN TURN FOUR FOR DRIVERS GAVIN THOMAS AND SHAWN MURRAY. THANKFULLY AGAIN BOTH DRIVERS WOULD BE OKAY BUT THEY WOULD NOT CONTINUE. AT THE HALFWAY MARK THE LEAD WAS STILL HELD BY ALEX BRIGHT BEING CHASED BY JAMES MORRIS AND JIM YOUNG. LEAD CHANGE WOULD OCCUR ON LAP 15 AS JAMES MORRIS WOULD MAKE THE PASS ON ALEX BRIGHT. ON THE NEXT LAP AROUND BRIGHT TRYING TO GET THE LEAD BACK WOULD SPIN IN TURN THREE. THE GREEN WOULD WAVE AND JAMES MORRIS WOULD TAKE THE FIELD TO THE WIN WITH KYLE LICK, AND JIM YOUNG, BRETT MICHOLSKI AND CHAD SANDT WOULD ROUND OUT THE TOP FIVE.

ARTHUR WINS ACTION-PACKED NeSMITH LATE MODEL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RACE

Arthur Beef Farms Special tries to pull away from the #02 Image Skin Care Rocket driven by Keith Nosbisch of Valrico, FL and Mark Whitener of Middleburg, FL in the #58 Dave’s Towing Special after a late race restart in the 10th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series on Saturday night at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL. Arthur would go on to win the 100-lap race and claim the $10,000 top prize. (photosbytrace.com)OCALA, FL – Walker Arthur of Forest, VA won an action-packed 10th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series on Saturday night at Bubba Raceway Park driving the Cecil B. Arthur Beef Farms Special. Arthur had to go to the back of the pack early in the 100-lap race, but put on a show getting back to the front. After a ten-lap side-by-side battle for the lead with Keith Nosbisch of Valrico, FL, Arthur took the lead for good on lap 76 and never looked back to claim the top prize of $10,000. Arthur said he made the right choice on tires, even though he second guessed himself just before the race started. “We had the right tire combination tonight, as we had a little harder tire on the right-rear than most everyone else did,” Arthur said. “Just before the race, I wasn’t sure that it wasn’t too hard, and I wanted to change it while they were doing driver introductions.
