Florida State Championships To Bring The Best In The Business Out Once More

12/17/13. Ocala, FL- Bubba Raceway Park will open it's gates less than 96 hours from Christmas and will send eight drivers home with wins and a combined $6850 to spend on last minute gifts or maybe race car parts. Better yet, those eight will be forever remembered as Champions of the race AND get that beautiful Super Bowl-style ring.

The Late Models will rac12-20-21-2013-4e with $2000 on the line and with names such as Mark Whitener, Ivedent Lloyd, Jr., Tyler Ivey, Rich Pratt, and Jason Fitzgerald leading the fight you know it'll be a good one. Others such as Tyler Clem and Jeff Mathews will have work to do to join Whitener as a champion of this prestigious event.

The Scorpion UMP Modifieds have a four-way championship battle between Charlie O'Neill, Pratt, Mathews, and Scott Kurtzner but defending champion Kyle Bronson, PJ Wiggins Memorial champion Paul Snyder, and rookie Bryan Bernhardt will all try to play spoiler and grab a ring and $1250.

Tyler Clem has been the dominant figure in the Limited Late Models and will clinch the title as long as he scores a point, making him one of the youngest recorded champions in stock car racing history. JO Nobles, Nevin Gainey, and Kyle Chappell will all try to grab the ring and $800 and keep Clem from grabbing the prestigious event.

The Mini Sprints will again run a non-FMSA sanctioned event with $750 and a ring on the line this time. Nick Snyder, Dirk Miller, and Eddie Moss, Jr. will lead the fight for a big win with just glory and cash on the line.

The Hobby Stocks will be gunning for the same prize as the Mini Sprints and with the champion already two months into his reign, it's just for glory and cash in this division as well. Devin Walker will try to end his title season on the highest of highs while Mike Stalnaker, Tim Powers, Brian Morgan, and Rodney Wright will all do their best to grab the cash and ring.

The 1-800-ASK GARY Thunder Stocks have $600 and a ring to win but Brandon Elwood has a championship to hold on to. Elwood has said he's going all out for the ring but a title thought may approach his mind every now and again. The Stalnaker brothers will most likely attack the prize as will Melvin Fockler, Tony Campbell, Jonathan Appleby, Jason Gamble, and defending race winner Justin Durbin.

The TQ Late Models have $500 and a ring waiting for the winner and a title battle is there for the taking as well. That title will be going back to Jacksonville. John Hopke leads Terry Wright by just 10 points while Dalton Hopke sits 61 behind his father John. Those three will have two different mindsets while Don Strosahl, Jr., Sean Babcock, and Dave Rader will go all out for the ring.

Stephen Frankland has won the Rent-N-Roll Gladiators title but he wants the ring, $200, and a piece of history with it. Others like Ray Hunter, Brandon Haseleu, and Steve Johnson will try to chase him down and grab the prizes.

Racing will start at 4:30 with hot laps starting around 3:15. Don't miss the incredible action at Bubba Raceway Park! For more info, please visit www.bubbaracewaypark.com or call us at 352-629-6900!
