Even with Thanksgiving right around turn 4 the drivers were still out in force at Bubba Raceway Park. UMP Open-Wheel Modifieds, Barrett's Race Cars Hobby Stocks, Mini Stocks, Gladiators, and the Florida Mini Sprints put on some of the best racing all season and the season isn't over yet!

The Barrett's Race Cars Hobby Stocks were called upon first and they responded. Phil Brown got out to an early lead after the Joe Boyd spin and held it until lap 6 when Trevor Gamble overtook him. As Gamble pulled away Brett Barrett and Kevin Durden looked for a way around Brown. They were given a chance on lap 14 after Tommy Ausburn spun in turn 4. Gamble pulled away and again no one could find a way around Phil Brown. One final shot was given when Scott Stewart touched the wall in turn 4 and Scott Haas spun to avoid him. Trevor Gamble pulled away for another victory with Phil Brown a fantastic 2nd place. Brett Barrett, sponsor of the series, took home yet another podium finish while Kevin Durden wound up 4th. Tim Powers had a disappointing night compared to the rest of his season as he only finished 5th. Grady Christian found the speed a little too late and finished 6th with Buck Woodhouse and Tommy Ausburn in tow. Joe Boyd and Scott Haas completed the comeback and the top 10.

Stallard cars have taken a liking to the 3/8 mile and the drivers have too. Justin Kolves, Chris Pacetti, and Harold Matthews have won at Bubba Raceway Park leaving Andy Detton alone in his team. John Moss held the lead until lap 6 when Joey Spivey drove past the 44. Half a lap later Detton flew past the 62 and crossed the line just before Moss spun in turn 4. Detton led Dirk Miller and Spivey for the restart. Just 2 laps later John Moss again spun the 44 ending his night. This one went green to the end but up front it was all about Andy Detton who made it 5 wins for Stallard and got the monkey off of his back as well. Dirk Miller was 2nd for much of the night and held on even with Rhea Lynne Moss challenging driver #68. Chris Pacetti took a 4th place finish but it was enough to climb back into championship contention with just 2 events left for the FMSA. Spivey completed the top 5. Austin Craddock was a brilliant 6th while Steve Crabtree was only able to drive to 7th. Dylan Colding continues to improve and he found himself 8th with Eddie Moss, Sr. and David Hall completing the top 10.

Robinson Recycling of Valdosta, Georgia offered a $100 prize to the winner of this feature. Rich Pratt spun in turn 4 on lap 1 putting him behind the 8 ball to begin with. Just 2 laps later it was David Moheng's turn as he spun the 12 in the same spot. Wayne Hammond and Kyle Bronson led with Joe Belkey in 3rd. Bronson passed Hammond on lap 4 and never looked back. Belkey saved the #2 out of turn 4 just a lap later but stalled on the frontstretch and the yellow flag did come out. The Hammond team-mates were still 1-2 with Tim Powers 3rd. On the restart Scott Mooers spun in turn 1 making the green flag void. Lap 7 saw Mooers spin again and that did end his night by the 2-spin rule. On the restart a pile up ensued ending the night for many including Garret Stewart and Jeff Bagent. A 6 lap run followed allowing Kyle Bronson to run the 40B away from the field. Hammond began to have trouble and that allowed Ronald Soltis and Jeff Mathews around. Ivedent Lloyd, Jr. had a right rear go flat on lap 13 putting him behind as he attempted to gain points back on owner Mathews. As Bronson pulled away it left Soltis, Mathews, and Hammond to battle for 2nd. With just 4 laps to go Jim Passino and Dalton Lanich spun out of turn 4 setting up a dash for cash. Bronson didn't allow it and pulled away to become the first 3-time Modified winner in the Bubba Clem Era. Soltis held on to 2nd even in his "out-of-date" Buzzard chassis with 3-time Jeff Mathews behind him. Hammond was 4th and Rich Pratt completed the comeback with a 5th place finish. Tim Powers ran up front all night but faded a little to 6th while Ivedent Lloyd, Jr. salvaged 7th. Ronnie Chance was 8th, Jim Passino was a Man on a Mission as he took 9th and Joe Belkey completed the top 10.

Buddy Pope took an early lead with very fast race cars behind him. On lap 5 Ray Folwell spun out of turn 4 setting up a restart with Pope, Shirlene Hammond, and Jamie Burrows up front. On lap 8 Brittany Yates retired after hitting the tire and she showed displeasure to team-mate Jamie Burrows who pulled off track after the accident. Hammond was faster but her motor was expiring as the race went on. Turn 4 coming to the checkers saw Hammond drive the 22H deep and the contact spun Pope around immediately and the yellow flew. Hammond pulled off as the engine had given all it could. The 1 lap restart saw Pope lead Ryan Babcock and Folwell. Buddy Pope went flag-to-flag while Folwell gained points with a 2nd place finish. Babcock stayed out of trouble and finished 3rd while Hammond and Burrows completed the top 5. Brittany Yates was 6th and Cody Kinsey finished 7th.

Robinson Recycling also offered $100 to the winner of the Gladiator feature. The Gladiator drivers showed the crowd that great racing doesn't need restarts as Jordan McMillan drove past Steve Cox on lap 2 and never looked back. Cox began to have trouble mid race which allowed Brandon Haseleu to make the pass and he began to catch McMillan. As Haseleu drove harder and harder he got closer and closer to the wall and McMillan but never touched it. He also never touched McMillan who became yet another first timer. Haseleu was 2nd with Cox 3rd. Casey Feaster was 4th and Stephen Frankland completed the top 5. Jerry Taylor finished 6th, Larry Swift a fantastic 7th, Billy Holmes 8th, and Steve Johnson finished 9th.

Next week-end is Bubba Is Thankful Week-End! All 6 of our weekly divisions will be battling for $16,000 in First Place Prizes between the divisions. For more information on the Friday-Saturday show check out www.bubbaracewaypark.com or call the Speedway hotline at 352-622-9400.
