thumb BRP 2-9-12 432 edited-1aUSAC Amsoil Wingless Sprints and the Florida Mini Sprints put a combined 48 cars on track and the battles were on!

The Florida Mini Sprints Association put on yet another fantastic show with some locals up against some out of state rivals. On lap 1 David Pleaugh found himself broken down on the front straight to bring out caution flag #1. Eddie Moss, Jr. and Jim Young made it a show of #8s until lap 16 when #81 Scott Kreuger did a flip on the back straight. Kreuger had the crew turn him onto his wheels again and promptly drove away as if nothing had happened. The 4 lap dash had Young licking his chops but Moss kept the spoils all to himself going flag-to-flag to take the win in his 600CC Moss Racing #8. Young was 2nd, Luke Thomas from Delaware was 3rd, Dirk Miller 4th, and Gavin Thomas put Jesse Teed's new #7 in the top 5. Austin Craddock did a magnificent job to finish 6th, Pete Smith was the final lead lap car in 7th, Nick Snyder 8th, Rhea Lynne Moss 9th, and David Hall made sure both Todd's Tomatoes cars finished in the top 10.

USAC Amsoil Sprints put on a wonderful 30-lap event for $5000BryanClauson promptly set a 14.409 to take fast qualifier. A quick spin at the beginning of the 30-lapper saw Levi Jones in trouble but he continued on. On lap 6 Damion Gardner passed Brady Bacon for the lead. Action stayed relatively calm as lapped traffic didn't play much of a factor. However, on lap 25 Bobby east slowed and brought the yellow out. The restart saw Chase Stockton spin which voided a pass that Bacon had made on Gardner. Stockton spun again after a lap was completed. The restart was plagued again when Hunter Schuerenberg had a piece onthe 35 break. The final 4 was intense but Gardner held on to win by less than half a second over Jon Stanbrough.Bacon was 3rd with teammate Darren Hagen behind. Bryan Clauson was 5th, Bud Kaeding 6th, Dave Darland 7th, Casey Shuman 8th, Kevin Thomas 9th, and Justin Grant completed the top 10.

Action continues both Friday and Saturday! Don't miss USAC Amsoil Sprints and the Florida MiniSprints at Bubba Raceway Park!
